Treatment and prevention of stretch marks

To help prevent stretch marks which are caused by rapid change in body size, such as weight loss, pregnancy and adolescence, Clinica® tissue oil should be gently massaged into the areas most susceptible to stretch marks.

For stretch marks that already exist, apply twice daily massaging gently in circular motions into the affected area.

During pregnancy massage hips, upper thighs, and abdomen twice daily from early in the first and second trimesters. Apply Clinica® tissue oil over the area and massage in gentle circular motions for ± 5 minutes. Work from the navel upwards, sideways and downwards. This tones the muscles, and in combination with antenatal and post natal exercises are of great benefit.

Scar tissue treatment

To enable the reduction of scar tissue, both new and old scars would require the same treatment. Apply to the scared tissue two to three times per day applying in slow gentle circular motions.

After sun treatment

After sun has damaged skin it leaves the affected area extremely sensitive, so it is important to treat the area with care. By applying the Clinica® tissue oil to the affected area it will help to hydrate and repair cell damage in the affected area. Clinica® tissue oil can also be placed in a cool/warm bath and used as a bath treatment.

What is P20?

Riemann P20 is a unique product which protects from sunburn but allows a golden tan to develop. It only needs to be applied once a day - however because it is different, it is vital that the instructions for use are followed exactly (see below). P20 is non-greasy and fragrance free once dry - so you no longer have to apply sticky sun preparations throughout the day.

What makes P20 different?

The active ingredient in P20 is PABA (p-aminobenzoic acid), which is a natural substance found in the human body - it is also known as Vitamin H. When P20 is applied to the skin, the p-aminobenzoic acid is absorbed and binds to the keratin in the skin, a process that takes 90 minutes. Amazingly P20 gives high protection (SPF 20) against the sun’s burning UVB rays but still lets through some UVA rays to allow you to tan. Result - a golden tan without the burn. The protection factor (SPF) is an expression of how many times longer you can stay in the sun (following the correct instructions of a 90-minute waiting time) than if you had no protection.

How do I use P20?

Remember, P20 is not like other sun protection products and the instructions MUST be followed carefully

To use P20, apply each morning in an even layer to clean, dry skin, AT LEAST 90 minutes before exposure to sun or swimming. (Once absorbed, P20 retains 90% of its protection even after swimming.)

When applying P20, pay particular attention to the vulnerable areas such as the face (and nose) shoulders, shins, feet - and the top of the head if your hair is thinning.

Remember not to use any moisturiser, etc, before using P20 as it will stop the product binding to the keratin of your skin. Wait 90 minutes before applying makeup.

First time users, fair or sensitive skin:

Follow the instructions as above, but then repeat the all-over application 10 minutes after the first application. We recommend this to make sure that P20 is applied adequately and in an even layer on the skin, thus providing the best possible protection.
